Grounding is a technique that helps keep someone in the present. They help reorient a person to the here-and-now and in reality. Grounding skills can be helpful in managing overwhelming feelings or intense anxiety. They help someone to regain their mental focus from an often intensely emotional state.



Grounding is an exercise that connects you energetically to the earth. It allows you to be more authentically in your body, in the present moment, and receive nourishing energy. Grounding allows your body to use all your talents and gifts, know their value in the world and give birth to your visions and goals.



In grounding, we can useĀ  different techniques like tree roots, colours, positive energies to keep ourselves anchored in the now and present moment, rather than reflecting on the future or worrying about the past. We relax and bring ourselves back to the here and now.

Grounding is a form of mindfulness that just keeps us present in the present moment. It is OK to let our minds and thoughts wander, but always just gently bring them back to the present focus and moment after allowing them to stray.

Ever wonder why it feels so damn good to have your feet on the earth? The sand between your toes and the grass tickling your soles?
Or why is it you feel such immense peace and happiness to be surrounded completely by nature, outside of the concrete jungle that most of us live in? We all crave that time of year that we get to go on holiday, to completely disconnect and lay by the ocean and walk among the trees.

Yep, most of us are in desperate need of grounding. We become so disconnected to the Earth from which we came that our Root Chakra can't even find the earth beneath us to ground into. When this happens, we get that that stressful, anxious or depressed feeling you may be familiar with.
